Friends of One Mile Creek (FOMC) wants to help restore the Niagara on the Lake tree canopy with a new restoration project. We plan a big planting of native trees and shrubs on Saturday, Oct. 24, in the park area at the corner of King and John St. in Old Town.
Plants of southern Ontario forests are not only beautiful, but essential to maintaining the diversity and health of our forests. A new guide available for free download makes it easy to identify native woodland plants of the Niagara Peninsula watershed.
The top 5 things you can do that will make a difference for the conservation of One Mile Creek and the natural heritage of Niagara on the Lake.
